There’s something so comforting about freshly made mini doughnuts — soft, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. Almost everyone who’s tried these has loved them and asked for more, so today I’m sharing my special mini doughnut recipe with you!
What You’ll Need
Ingredients for the Doughnut Mixture
1 1/2 cups flour
½ cup sugar
1 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup of milk
125g butter (I use salted butter if the butter is not salted add 1/2 tsp of salt)
For the Glaze
Cooking chocolate (white, dark, or milk)
Icing sugar
2 teaspoons fresh milk
Optional: food coloring
Sprinkles for decoration
How to Make the Doughnuts
Prepare the batter
Mix the sugar and butter using an electric beater until creamy. Add in the eggs, milk, and vanilla. Finally, add the flour and baking powder. Mix until smooth and lump-free.Preheat the doughnut maker
Switch it on and let it heat up fully. This ensures even cooking.Cook the doughnuts
Pour the mixture quickly into each section of the doughnut maker. (The secret to perfectly shaped, fluffy doughnuts is to pour the batter quickly before it starts to set.) Close the lid and let them cook until golden brown.Cool before glazing
Allow the doughnuts to cool completely before you add the glaze — this helps the glaze stick beautifully.
How to Make the Glaze
Melt the cooking chocolate in the microwave (10 seconds at a time, stirring between each round until smooth).
Add icing sugar and milk, then mix until you get a smooth, sticky glaze.
If using white chocolate, add a drop of food coloring for a fun twist.
Dip the top of each doughnut into the glaze, lay them in a plate to set. then decorate with sprinkles before it sets.
