Colourful Mix Salad
My little daughter is quite a picky eater, and getting her to enjoy vegetables is no easy task. This salad started as a small experiment in my kitchen—and to my surprise, she absolutely loved it!
I often prepare this colorful mixed salad for dinner, especially when we’re having pizza or a savory pasta with meatballs that doesn’t include many vegetables. When I plan our meals, I always try to strike a balance between healthy and tasty, and this salad fits perfectly into that idea.
The vibrant colours naturally attract kids, making them more excited to eat, while the simple, wholesome ingredients add a fresh and delicious flavour. Best of all, it’s super easy to prepare—perfect for busy days when you still want to serve something nutritious.
A simple dish, a happy kids, and a balanced meal—this salad checks all the boxes.
What you will need.
Ingredients :
- Boiled Potatoes , Carrots, Beans or Green Peas
- 2 Boiled Eggs
- Gurkin or Cucumber, Tomato and Latus
- Bell pepper from a preferred colour.
- Salt and Pepper
- Sesame seeds 1 tsp
- Ground flax seeds 1 tsp
- Olive oil or Virgin Coconut Oil 1 table spoon.
Cut all the boiled and fresh vegetables into cubes. I prefer cubes, but you can cut them into any shape you like. For a more appealing presentation, it’s best to keep all the vegetables cut in the same shape—whether that’s cubes, long strips, or thin circles.
Transfer all the vegetables to a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then add the sesame seeds, ground flax seeds, and your preferred oil. Gently mix everything together using two wooden spoons. This helps prevent the vegetables from getting squashed and keeps the salad fresh and crisp.
